Our Awards
This character-filled home from the 1900’s went through a major transformation after the 2022 floods. Following the damage, the interior was completely stripped, the two rear bedrooms were demolished, and that section was rebuilt to follow the original roofline. During the process, we uncovered an incredible roof structure that had been hidden above the old ceilings.
The owners chose to celebrate this feature by leaving the ceiling open and making it the hero of the home. To achieve this, we removed the existing roof sheeting, installed timber between the rafters, added insulation above, and then re-fitted the roof sheeting. The dramatic new black kitchen now anchors the space, with the exposed ceiling and carefully designed mood lighting creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that truly feels like home.
This growing family, with two boys heading into their teenage years, had simply outgrown their original home. The house was dated, worn out, short on space and missing a much-needed extra bedroom. It was clear something had to change.
We completely reworked the internal layout and replaced the entire roof structure, also adding a new carport to increase the under-roof area. The result is a refreshed, functional home that comfortably supports the family’s next stage of life—without them having to leave the neighbourhood they love.
